John La is Director of Technology at Funny Garbage. He has been with Funny Garbage since 2007. He earned his B.A. from University at Buffalo for Computer Science and a concentration in Management Information Systems. Since 1999, John has been entrenched in Internet Startups at 333Media and IPO.com as Graphic Artist and Flash Developer then eventually moved into more technical roles at Ogilvy & Mather and Lehman Brothers as a System Administrator and Applications Developer. After a short stint, as an instructor teaching robotics to teen students at idTech Summer Camps at M.I.T., John returned to NYC as a developer.
At Funny Garbage, he has architected, developed and lead several projects including School of Visual Arts, Cartoon Network, and Teen Nick.
Symfony projects for major clients and sites including StarTrek.com, USmagazine.com, and SVA.edu.
John La is a member of the community since June 2013.
